Deshamanya H.K.A.S Senewirathne
Due to the guidance and support I received from my father (Mr H.K.A.Mendis Senewirathne) from the year 1968, when he was holding the position of Chairman, Carpentry Technicians Union Ltd., I became highly interested in the work related to the building industry.
With the advent of time, fulfilling my need of a regular employment, I gathered knowledge and expertise in the fields of Carpentry and Masonary. During this period, I managed to obtain few contracts, as a sub-contractor for projects of Gamudawa, Mahaveli Authority, and for the erection of official quarters of Sevanagala Sugar Factory. Due to my involvement as a sub-contractor, for these projects, I associated many Architects and Engineers in these work sites and had the opportunity in gathering engineering knowledge and experience from them, which helped me to achieve my goals to be an expert in the building industry.
I am grateful to several reputed engineers, such as Mr Bimal Padmaperuma, Chairmen of at that time in The Engineering Corporation, who supported me all the way with proper advice and guidance, for me to become a top class technician in the building industry.
With my reliable building contract work, I became closer to my clients and achieved great heights to register my own company with The Registrar of Companies, in Sri Lanka, under the banner "Jayalath Constructions Private Ltd", with it’s head quarters at Polgasowita, Piliyandala.
With the support of a dedicated and experienced team of Chartered Engineers, Architects, Technicians, including Supervisors and staff, we are committed to offer a reliable, efficient and a honest service to our dear clients.
